Culinary Arts is partnered with Katella Grill
'Join Chef Tommy at Katella Grill to get some hands on chef experience on Saturdays from 12:00pm - 2:00pm! Weekly starting Saturday, September 11th Culinary students will create dishes to be donated to our community and those experiencing food insecurity in our local area. You will learn what it means to recover food and how to turn it into nutritious meals for those in need. And, you will get to make a special treat just for you. Learning about the culinary world is valuable in finding out how we treat food from farm to table – as well as what happens when we have food waste. Students build a level of community awareness along with getting hands-on experience in a professional kitchen. Parents are welcome to come in the restaurant to drop off and pick up. And, if they feel the need they can stay and wait (and even take photos). Katella Grill will take some photos of the event that will be posted on our school website and Culinary Instagram pages.
